Weight Watchers Here I Come

Yes, It's true, I am on the third day of Weight Watchers. I was inspired by Nancy Zundell, a woman in my neighborhood. No offense to Nancy, but if she can loose her weight after getting as big as she did with her last pregnancy then I can do it too. Go Nancy!!! I need to post a couple of pictures on here of me pregnant so that you believe me when I say I get huge too. So, here I am almost 3 years after the birth of our last baby and it is time to do something about the weight issue. (As noted in previous posts.) I have good incentive too. Mark's dad just called on Sunday and is getting married on May 24th. That gives me just under 3 months. Wow, pressure is on.

It was the cutest thing. I was talking to one of the cheer coaches at Rachael's Cheer Gym the other day who happens to be pregnant and adorable. We were talking about pregnancy and how our husbands love us and think we are sexy even though we are huge. Her comment to me was that even though he sees this beautiful glow all she sees when she looks in the mirror is "large and in charge". How much do I relate to that. How cute she is.

Hey Becky, Let me know how it works for you. Nancy looks great, my problem is that I have no self control! I need a work out buddy so if and when you ever get to that point...give me a call!

I love your blog. You are such a great family. I'll add you to my list of blogs I check EVERYDAY! What is my problem? Don't I have my own life?
Hey, I'm doing weight watchers.com and I really enjoy it. I've lost 10 pounds since I started, but have a ways to go to hit my goal. But its fun, I definitely would rather do it online then go to meetings. My biggest issues, second helpings and snacks. Good luck with it!

What I Would Tell My Younger Self

Last week was a really tough week for our Bishop and family. First, my husband went out of town on business and it happened to overlap with our daughter and her babies visiting us. So, three days that she was here, he didn't get to see her. Then, he flew back into town Wed. around town and then we drove our daughter to the airport Thursday morning at 4:30. Yes, that is early, and yes, we did go back to bed when we got home. ;o) Then he worked all day Thursday and I will spare you the details but it was a bad day. His non-boss boss was in a foul mood and he got the brunt of it.  Thursday evening he had the yearly ward audit and didn't get home until close to 10. Friday was another fun filled day at work, and then Friday evening and Saturday were filled with youth conference which he attended and was a chaperone for during the entire event. Sunday was a rough "bishop" day that he couldn't talk about, and quite frankly, I didn't want to hear about.  That leads us...

Officially in the Limelight!

I had an interesting experience this evening. Without divulging more than I should, let's just say that I was told that people in my area are concerned that I have not kept my information about the stake changes private until the appropriate time. They were concerned that because I dated my blog post for the date of my writing some people thought that I had said something before the stake split announcement. Let me assure you that this isn't the case. I date my posts for the day that I write them but I didn't post them until Nov. 9th, the afternoon of the day of Stake conference. With that being said, this experience brought to my attention how much being a bishop's wife really is somewhat like being on show for everyone. Sometimes you are scrutinized and it is good, and sometimes it isn't so good.  I felt truly inspired to write and keep this blog so that people can get an idea of what a normal bishop's family is like. This however can be difficult because I ...
