Valentine Tradition

I am not sure at what point the tradition started. I think it had something to do with my friend Jessica who always makes chocolate chip pancakes for her kids. I try to avoid sugar overload with my kids and so decided that maybe as a treat would be a fabulous idea. I know the heart shapes started about 4 years ago when I decided to drive around town until I found forms. I finally found them at Lehi roller mill and now we are hooked on heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes. This year just as every other, we did our pancake tradition.

Unfortunately Rachael couldn't participate in our tradition due to her possible gluton intolerance, so we made her an omelet with sausage. Not as festive, but she loved it none the less. I was thinking though about the future. Maybe every year as my kids get older we will have traditional Leonard breakfast at our house. Kids husbands/wives and grandkids invited for heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes and a buffet of yummy breakfast favorites. Until then, I love my sweet babies. They are the light of my life and it sure is fun doing something that they love so much to show my love for them.

Happy Valentines day my valentine babies. Happy Valentines day!

I think Smiths carries one line and whole foods too!! :) Love the tradition, we do sprinkly pancakes on birthday's. :) Hope oyu figure it out, I know I could benefit from being gluten free, I know I have one gene for sure but not sure about my dad's side.
